I’m Murilo Mattos, a professional Photographer, Filmmaker, and Creative Designer with over 15 years of experience. Born in Brazil and proud to be an Australian citizen, I have had the privilege of working with prestigious clients such as Mitsubishi Motors, Suzuki Motors, Stock Car, AFL, Cricket Australia, MyState Bank, West Cycle, Wild&Co, Geocentrics, and others, capturing unforgettable moments and creating visual stories.
Photography has been my lifelong passion, and I’ve dedicated years to honing my craft and perfecting my skills. Along this journey, I faced a life-altering challenge in 2012 when an accident during a photoshoot resulted in the loss of vision in my left eye. This adversity only strengthened my resolve and deepened my appreciation for the art of storytelling through imagery.
In addition to my photography expertise, I am also a versatile Creative Designer, having worked in various agencies and businesses in Brazil and Australia. With a diverse background in web design, print design, branding, animation, packaging, editorial design, and social media, I bring a holistic approach to my work. I believe in the power of visual communication and strive to create captivating designs that leave a lasting impact.
What sets me apart is my unique perspective of the world. Having had the opportunity to work as a creative professional in different countries, I’ve immersed myself in diverse cultures and environments, capturing the essence and beauty of each location. My photography style is documentary and unobtrusive, focusing on genuine emotions, beautiful light, and special moments. In my design work, I prioritize cleanliness, functionality, and attention to detail.
I’m passionate about sports, exercise, and good food. In fact, my love for capturing genuine moments extends beyond photography and filmmaking. I make it a point to personally experience every single sport I photograph because I believe it’s the only way to truly understand the feelings, challenges, and emotions surrounding each one. By immersing myself in the world of sports, I can always be in the right place at the right time and capture the perfect moment.
